Raps wait to hear on Jack offer
The Indiana Pacers are on the clock.

Restricted free agent guard Jarrett Jack has officially signed an offer sheet on a four-year, $20 million (all figures U.S.) contract from the Raptors and the Pacers will have seven days, beginning today, to match it or lose him to Toronto.

Jack, 25, averaged 13.1 points and 4.1 assists per game with the Pacers last season, starting 53 of Indiana's 82 games.

The 6-foot-3 five-year veteran, a college teammate of Chris Bosh at Georgia Tech, is capable of playing both guard positions. He beat out former Raptor T.J. Ford for the starting point guard role in Indiana.

Pacers officials had no comment on the offer sheet. They already have guards Ford and Travis Diener under contract and took guard A.J. Price in last month's draft.

PARKER A CAV: The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially signed free-agent Anthony Parker, formerly of the Raptors , to a two-year deal worth about $6 million.

"For me it's always about who really saw me fitting in with what they're trying to do," Parker said. "Cleveland has been that team from the beginning. They showed the most interest and pursued me the hardest. It just so happens they're also a team that's contending, which is even better. It was a fit all the way through."

Parker, 34, averaged 10.7 points and 3.4 assists per game last season.

CLIPS AFTER IVERSON: The Los Angeles Clippers are involved in "very serious" talks to sign free agent guard Allen Iverson, a source tells the Los Angeles Times.

Iverson, who averaged a career-low 17.5 points in 57 games with Denver and Detroit last season, has reportedly also drawn interest from Memphis and Miami.

Magic MATCH: The Orlando Magic have retained backup centre Marcin Gortat, matching the $34 million, five-year deal offered by the Dallas Mavericks to the restricted free agent.

Gortat averaged 3.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in about 12 minutes per game last season.

PARGO RETURNS: Free agent guard Jannero Pargo has signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bulls.

The 6-foot-1 guard was also with Chicago from 2003-06. Pargo played in Russia and Greece last season. He has also spent time with the Lakers, Raptors and Hornets.
