MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Indiana point guard T.J. Ford needed stitches to fix a badly cut forehead after being hit Friday in the Pacers' game at Minnesota by an inadvertent elbow from teammate Troy Murphy. Ford was hurt in the third period and returned about a quarter later, finishing his night with 13 points, five rebounds, two assists and five turnovers in 27 minutes. He walked off the court on his own, but with a towel covering most of his face to slow the bleeding. Afterward in the locker room, Ford was in good spirits and joking around with his teammates. The Pacers were already missing three players who are at least part time starters this season: All-Star Danny Granger (foot), Mike Dunleavy (knee) and Jeff Foster (ankle).
