NUGGETS Hibbert leads Pacers to win Beijing up next for Denver, Indiana

NUGGETS Hibbert leads Pacers to win Beijing up next for Denver, Indiana Indiana's Brandon Rush hit six 3-pointers and center Roy Hibbert blocked eight shots, including a vicious swat on a J.R. Smith layup, as the Pacers beat the Nuggets 126-104 Thursday at Taipei Arena in Taiwan.

The Pacers outscored Denver 32-24 in the first quarter and 30-20 in the third, a disturbing fact since Denver's starters were on the floor most of those quarters.

Carmelo Anthony did finish with a team-high 17 points on 6-for-15 shooting, but also had a team-high five turnovers in his 21 minutes. Chauncey Billups scored 14 points in 25 minutes. The Pacers' star, Danny Granger, had 10 points, a total doubled not only by Rush but also Troy Murphy and Hibbert - clearly the game's star - who also had a game-high 11 rebounds.

Before the game, NBA commissioner David Stern spoke of international Basketball, saying that the NBA envisions having franchises someday in Europe, though there isn't a set timetable.

"There's some good possibility over the course of many years that if there's appropriate arena development in Europe, there could be actual NBA franchises in Europe," he said. "That's the way we see the development of Basketball in the world."

Stern also said the league will play a regular-season game in London, prior to the city's 2012 Olympics.

Up next. The Nuggets travel to Beijing to again play Indiana on Saturday at the Wukesong Arena, where Anthony won Olympic gold in 2008. The game will be aired live on Altitude at 10 p.m.

Ticket talk. Single-game tickets for this season will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. Tickets are available at TicketHorse online at www.tickethorse.com, by phone at 866-461-6556, all Dick's Sporting Good stores and the Pepsi Center box office.
