ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard T.J. Ford, Shooting guard Brandon Rush, Small forward Danny Granger, Power forward Troy Murphy, Center Roy Hibbert. Bench -- Guard Earl Watson, Guard Luther Head, Forward Dahntay Jones, Center Solomon Jones, Forward/Center Jeff Foster. PLAYER NOTES: --G T.J. Ford got an early wake-up call that his starting position is not safe. Ford, who ended last season coming off the bench, only played seven minutes in the second half after struggling most of the game. He finished with three points on 1-of-9 shooting in 23 minutes.
--G Dahntay Jones may be more than just a defensive player after all. Jones, who has earned a reputation as a defensive specialist, came off the bench to score 17 points in 26 minutes. He was 9-of-9 from the foul line. Jones has to do a better job protecting the ball because he committed a team-high six turnovers.
--G Danny Granger, who is dealing with a bruised right heel, went from being questionable to play to leading all scorers. He scored a team-high 31 points on 10-of-18 shooting in 34 minutes. Granger said he's not sure how long his heel will bother him.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Mike Dunleavy (knee) is out indefinitely with a knee problem. He suffered a setback in his rehabilitation from knee surgery prior to the start of training camp.
--F Tyler Hansbrough (shin) is out for at least two more weeks because of a shin injury, which happened during his senior season at the University of North Carolina.
--G Travis Diener (toe) has only practiced once since the start of training camp because of a toe problem that bothered him last season.
