--There's a chance the low-post player the Pacers badly need will be sitting there for them when they pick at No. 13 on draft night. The problem that could keep them from selecting Pittsburgh's DeJuan Blair is concern about both his knees, which he injured while in high school. Blair hasn't had any knee problems since high school, but the Pacers have a history of having players with knee issues. Jonathan Bender had his career cut short because of chronic knee problems. Jermaine O'Neal dealt with knee issues and Mike Dunleavy is out indefinitely after having knee surgery in March. --Assistant coach Lester Conner, who has aspirations to be a head coach one day, will lead the Pacers' summer league team in Orlando next month. This is the third year in a row that Conner, a former first-round pick by Golden State, has coached the summer league team. C Roy Hibbert, G Brandon Rush, F Josh McRoberts and both of the team's draft picks are expected to take part in summer league. QUOTE TO NOTE: "I'm a hometown guy. I grew up a Pacers fan. I've been here my whole life, so all I know is Pacers basketball. I feel I have a great relationship with the fans in Indiana, and I think I could bring some more fans to the games." -- Wake Forest guard and Indianapolis native Jeff Teague, on the possibility of playing for the Pacers.
