--The Pacers have dropped 10 of their last 11 games, including six in a row, which equals their longest losing streak of last season. "We need to play consistent basketball," coach Jim O'Brien said. "You can't play two-and-a-half quarters of good basketball and a quarter-and-a-half of subpar basketball. And when we put all the elements of the game together, we will be in the position of giving ourselves the best chance of winning." --The Pacers got a strong contribution from their bench. Their second unit accounted for 40 points and 24 rebounds. They were also the unit that helped them fight back from an 11-point deficit.
"I thought they played with a great deal of energy," coach Jim O'Brien said about his bench. "I thought we pushed the tempo and got good movement and I thought we played a pretty good brand of defensive basketball."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "We played pretty tough and played a tough team. At the end, we took good shots. But when you take good shots, you must make them. We did not make them and we lost." -- G Luther Head.
