Indiana Pacers Notes, Quotes 2009-11-26

Indiana Pacers Notes, Quotes 2009-11-26--The Pacers shot 17 percent in the first quarter and 30 percent in the first half. They made up for it in the second half when they scored 52 points and shot 46 percent from the field.

"We started to run two or three players, which got the ball to our big guys and brought their big guys away," coach Jim O'Brien said. "We got some forced movement and I thought our guys did a good job being patient when the initial looks were taken away, then probing the defense and find one another."

--The Pacers, who struggled defensively in their previous two games, held the Clippers to 31 percent shooting in the second half. Clippers leading scorer Chris Kaman missed all five of his shot attempts in the second half and finished just 3-of-19 from the field.

"We played with a lot of force on the defensive end," coach Jim O'Brien said.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "We stepped it up. It was a game where we had to grind it out. We know what we can do defensively. We just have to continue to put it together for four quarters." -- G T.J. Ford.
