Indiana Pacers Notes, Quotes 2009-11-05

Indiana Pacers Notes, Quotes 2009-11-05--Maybe the Pacers can play some defense after all. They held the Knicks to 28 percent shooting in the second half, including 12 percent in the fourth quarter. New York was held without a field goal for the final 9:21.

"Roy (Hibbert) and Solomon (Jones) started to become more aggressive defending pick-and-rolls, we started to get our hands on more balls," coach Jim O'Brien said.

--The Pacers had their best all-around game of the season. All five starters scored in double-figures and coach Jim O'Brien shortened his rotation to just eight despite playing the night before. The Pacers had three starters record double-doubles.

"A gutsy, gutsy effort by our ball club," O'Brien said. "We just kept the tempo. Our guys are in terrific condition to be able to play that hard in the second half of back-to-back nights."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Dahntay has been playing very aggressive offensive basketball for us. He's never had the freedom that we're giving him and he's taking full advantage of it." -- Coach Jim O'Brien on Dahntay Jones, who had 19 points and 12 rebounds.
