--It's hard to beat a team when you're not aggressively attacking the basket. The Pacers attempted 22 fewer free throws than the Grizzlies. Indiana was 13-of-18 from the line. Memphis was 24-of-40.
--Former NBA guard Haywoode Workman officiated his first game against his former team. Workman spent four seasons with the Pacers. He said earlier that he would be nervous officiating a game involving the Pacers. --The Pacers were only 6-of-22 on three-pointers, dropping their season average to just 33 percent (195-of-569).
--The Pacers, who have dropped three of their last four games, haven't won more than two games in a row in nearly two months. Their longest winning streak is three games -- Nov. 8-12.
--Talk about a lack of mental toughness. Indiana is just 3-5 in games decided by three points or less.
