Pacers All-Star forward Danny Granger is back on the court working out with his sight set on returning to the lineup Friday at Atlanta.
Granger, the team's leading scorer, has missed the last 10 games with a partially torn tendon in his right foot. His workouts have consisted of working with assistant coaches after practice. Lateral movement gives him the most problems.
"I can't do everything yet," he said. "I'm getting most of it back. Some things I'm still limited with. I have to make sure when I come back I'm definitely ready and I'm not half speed. (The team has) been playing very well."
Pacers coach Jim O'Brien isn't tipping his hand on who plans to move to the bench -- Jarrett Jack or Marquis Daniels -- when Granger returns to the lineup. It'll likely be Daniels because he's comfortable in either role and he can fill in at either shooting guard or small forward.
JAZZ 112, PACERS 100: Taking care of the ball was not a priority against the Jazz for the Pacers. They committed 22 turnovers against the hottest team in the NBA. The starting backcourt of Jarrett Jack and T.J. Ford had 21 points each, but they also combined for 11 turnovers. Forward Troy Murphy led the Pacers with 23 points and 13 rebounds.
